Blog 4: Edgar Cayce on Prophecy

Edgar Cayce on Prophecy

The future is not set in stone, it is malleable, changeable, and is not fixed.  Cayce states this clearly.  But it is possible to see the future, or see possible future outcomes.  Because it can be seen, it can be changed.  God is Time, Space and Patience.  All time is one: the past, present, and future.

The Bible states that we are self-made gods, and have to earn the right, on every level, for what we claim.  Cayce predicted we will develop psychic powers.  We will acquire extrasensory perception.  Cayce suggests that mankind will enter a new environment of the universe where the vibrations will be such that we will need psychic abilities.  We will grow "upward to the mind of [our] maker".  Cayce stated we would develop intuition and telepathy, and that this has been occurring for centuries (as seen in the bible).

Cayce explained how the "New Jerusalem" foretold in the Bible will not be a place, alone, but a condition or experience of the soul.  We will "come into a new life, a new understanding - the new regeneration, there is then the new Jersusalem".  "The comprehensions of those who have put away the earthly desires and become as the new purposes in their experience, become the New Jerusalem".
Through Patience, Time, Space and your relationship to the Godhead, you become aware of self.  In self you find body, mind, and soul.  As Jesus is the builder in the Godhead, so is the mind the builder in the individual.  One day we may even be able to "tune in" to the akashic records or book of life by mechanical means.  But as we learn to apply these things and to use our mind to a fuller extent, a mechanical means will be unnecessary.  We will most likely develop our mental skills along with our psychic abilities.  Prophecy, psychic healing, creative and artistic ability will probably be as commonplace in the future as intellectual and mental attainment.

James Henry Breasted gave the world his scholarly insight into the unity of "the works of nature and the works of man" - at the same time that Cayce was saying that man's relationships to his fellowman, or his spiritual life "oft keep many a city and many a land intact".  So if enough people work together in thought & prayer, as a united conscience, then we can affect future outcomes in nature.  This is how we can achieve "the joy, the buoyance" promised for this new age.  So when will we achieve a "New Jerusalem" or "New Earth"?  In Cayce's readings he indicates that our sense of time and God's sense of time are extremely different.  What seems like a very far off time to us, may seem as only a day to God.  But the more of us who seek and work towards it, the sooner it may come.  It depends on us, and starts with you.

How can we know we are on the right path?  "By listening within".  The inner self or soul is a part of the Infinite, while the personality (or ego) is ever at war with the infinite "for the lack of what may be called stamina, faith, patience".  Cayce says that we are living in past, present, and future all at one time.  Our lives are divided for our own convenience, only; all time is one and all life is one.

Just as Jesus dealt with the physical man, God is dealing with the physical heavens and earth.  He is renewing them, just as Jesus was able to regenerate the flesh.  The body and earth are, after all, made of the same things.  If a new body, why not a new Earth?  Literally!  Desire is the key to attaining peace, a new heaven, a new earth.  We must desire them, as God desires them.  It will be in earth as it is in heaven.  This is both prophecy and promise, as well as prayer.
