Chapter 13: THE GENERAL COUNCIL

Subject sitting in on a Council Meeting on a higher spiritual plane:

• Description: suspended in midair, supported by energy field, cannot be perceived by human eyes, energy field deep violet color, council chamber suspended in center, furniture gold but with wood grain, like oval courtroom framed by gold columns &gold drapes, tiers up around & open space with podium, from podium "holograms" projected
• Things presented in clear space are demonstrating the overall pattern in this particular universe; how our karmas have interacted with this pattern & what path we need to continue to follow in order to eventually attain enlightenment.
• Subject sees spiritual entities looking like white lights, like mini suns of various shapes & colors, rays of other colors seem to indicate how they feel/mood, what they are thinking & how developed they are (center of energy with rays going out, steady flow).
• All here are in between lives & striving to raise karma.  Plan ways of helping others who have not advanced as far as we have yet - just as there are those who are more advanced helping us; everything interrelated.
• [Ascended spirits] tell us what they have done to attain their level of karma & whether these things would apply to our own karma while striving to attain higher goals.
• We contact them through a method of distant communication, like a radio on your level.  But they would have to come to our level to be able to make contact with us directly.  
• We can visit lower levels because we've already been through those & we know how to adjust our energy to be compatible with them.
• When we are on this side, we can see how the underlying structure of energy or enlightenment links all things together.  So we can, so to speak, give it a nudge here & there to help someone out in a particular direction.  It causes events to fall in another direction rather than the direction they were originally developing towards.
• Negative Karma: The more negative a person's karma is, the more incompatibility there is & this makes it more difficult to communicate with them & try to help them.
• They put up energy barriers without meaning to do it, we believe.  They have built mental walls & walls of energy about them to block out all they don't want to deal with.
• We usually have to watch them very carefully & try to catch them at a vulnerable point so we can break through & give them a glimmering hope.
• Positive Karma: In the case of people who are working on their karma in a positive direction, it is like climbing a staircase.  It is a much more open situation & it is much easier to contact them.
• [The General Council] is not assigned to specific people.  We are rather like monitors; told to keep an eye on a particular portion of the overall picture, and whenever we see a part that needs a little bit of a nudge or a little bit of help, we go ahead & act on our own initiative.
• Sometimes a particular person might benefit from it.  But more often it is usually an action that benefits many people.
• When in-between lives & on planes like this, you work on your karma also, but in a different way.
• They like for everyone to have a chance to be in a general council so they can grasp the overall view of things.
• thus continue to progress in right direction
• [General Council] works very closely with the spirits who are acting as individual guides.
• Sometimes they will tell us that a certain person is bound & determined to do a certain thing.  They ask us how that will affect the general events & will we need to alter it any, so as to have the most positive effect on the most people.
• Sometimes at a crucial point an individual may make a totally different decision than what their guide is urging them to do, and it changes the picture a little at that point.  And further down the line we'll have to give other events a nudge.  But that's the way it has always been, and this is what keeps the universe alive & fluctuating.
• Everyone has their own free will to do what they wish.  But if they make a decision that is going to negatively affect many other people, well, those other people did not choose to be affected that way.  And that, in effect, takes away a little bit of their free will.
• Every spirit needs a period of adjustment when they go from the physical plane to the spiritual plane or vice versa.
• The council meets & we discuss what their situation is & what they need; how we can best serve them to help them develop their karma in this new stage they are in.
• We get final details together so when they are ready we contact them & guide them & help them, so they can constructively constructively use this period between lifetimes.
• Near Death Experiences(NDEs): They're describing what they see up to the approach to the barrier between the physical & spiritual.  The approach up to the barrier is usually very similar because you must go through the same type of energy fields to cross over to the spiritual side.
• The bright light they see is the barrier itself (between physical & spiritual)
• Passing this barrier can be a shock to the system.
• They cannot go back to their bodies after crossing the barrier.  It severs the cord that connects the astral body to the physical body.
• Usually NDEs occur because their guide has decided that they were heading towards a dead end in their karma.
• happens to really shake up their thinking, so they can start on new patterns & begin guiding their karma into new directions, hopefully more positive patterns
• When spirits cross the barrier, all they see is bright energy;  feel as if being cleansed because the energy is adjusting their own spiritual vibrations to be compatible with whatever level they have attained.
• smooth transition guided by what they are ready for
• Their minds construct these visions that they see until they are ready to see things as they truly are.
• laws of physics don't apply here like on physical plane
• each plane is different, and so difficult to describe
• Sometimes you will see visual analogues to help make connections with what you are seeing compared to what you have already experienced.
• The council are the ones that say when people are ready to learn more about things.

"I have been told that in addition to the general councils, there are also numerous levels of councils above them.  I don't know if there is any limit, as I have been told of universal councils on the Creator level.  The ones on that level are considered co-creators with God & work on creating new universes or whatever is needed, ad infinitum.

I think it would be impossible to expect our mortal minds to grasp or understand even a portion of what it is really all about.  But it is fascinating to realize that there is more to it than we ever dreamed possible."
