Chapter 11: Ghosts & Poltergeists

Poltergeists:

• Definition - spirit entities who have their consciousness focused to such a degree that they can cause manifestations on the physical level (furniture floating, switches on & off).
• Intense emotions such as anger, rage, or jealousy tend to focus the entire consciousness to such a degree that this is what happens.
• Some simply enjoy the amusement & are thus entertaining themselves as well as those who are the targets of their mischief.
• This is not always the case for you are well aware of the less enlightened individuals.
• Always there is the playing of games, on this side as well as yours.  This is simply another form of it.
• The term "poltergeist" is loosely ascribed to any spirit who manipulates physical objects.
• Often there is intent which is positive & helpful & good in doing this because it enlightens the receivers of this energy to the fact that there are things which cannot be seen, which are real, as real as the physical.
• Sometimes people frighten these things, too. (Laughter) For we never know what the people will do.
• Poltergeists move physical objects & are aware of their consequences.
• They are often trying to get the attention of the people around them, whether it be for amusement or ego gratification.
• But not all poltergeists have honorable intentions, for such is not the case.  It may be more than attention, possibly revenge for instance.
• Individuals who are reaching puberty [can sometimes] act as their own poltergeist.  For they are using energies of which they are not aware.  So they often create the activity themselves.
• Sometimes it is simply a manifestation of their own psychic talents & abilities which are brought on by the schism of the experience of going through puberty.
• There is much change happening in the body which is transferred to the mental & emotional planes as well as the spiritual.
• Pent-up emotions are directed & the energy is then released as poltergeist activity.
  

Ghosts:

• The manifestation of many "ghosts" is nothing more than the projection of energies of the individual who is seeing these apparitions.  The individuals themselves are projecting these energies which could perhaps be reflections if their own former lives or awareness of other spirit planes, and they are projecting this awareness down to a physical level.
• There are many other possibilities of projection and perception.
  
•  Ghosts in different places reenacting scenes [echoes]:
• They are trapped in a moment in time.  They are earthbound entities who are trapped in their own doings, so to say, and can find no release.
• They find themselves in a vicious cycle destined to repeat the same set of circumstances which put them there in the first place, until there is the awakening.
• They cannot see those spirits around them who are attempting to guide them to their truth, to enlighten them & release them from their misery.
• This is an instance where the physical is most capable of helping the physical.
  

Earthbound Spirits:  

• definition - someone who has had many problems & does not want to admit that they can be released

• sometimes they love life so much they do not want to leave
• sometimes there is someone here on Earth who is tying them so hard they can't leave
• grief has its place, but excessive grieving is bad for both the person who is grieving as well as the the spirit who has passed on
• excessive grief can hold you back from developing your karma; it retards your spiritual growth
  
• another version:  usually they are sleepwalking; still conscious of the physical plane & they notice something is different, but they can't quite figure out what.  On a spiritual plane it appears that they are sleepwalking.
• After a while they'll wake up & realize that they are on the spiritual plane & they have other things to go on to.
• It usually occurs because the subconscious has misjudged the amount of time left for working out particular aspects of karma.
• When [life] is cut short it takes longer for the mind to reorient itself.
• It is mainly their spiritual subconscious trying to straighten things out so that the spiritual conscious can switch back on, so to speak.
• Occasionally they will try to get back into a physical body but the spirit that is there will block them & they will realize that it can't be done.  After a few tries, they will begin to wake up & quit sleep-walking.

• Some spirits, especially those who have attracted a lot of negative influences, generally have a difficult period of transition because they don't  want to give up the physical sensation of things...alcohol, nicotine, heroin (addictions).

• stick around & hang around those in the physical world to absorb their feelings & sensations vicariously

Definition of vicarious - taking the place of another; endured or performed by one person in the place of another; felt by imagined participation in another's experience: as a vicarious thrill

• Many times they realize they have died, but they are hoping that they will be able to re-enter the physical plane immediately.
• Others may not know that they're dead & they're trying to participate in physical things as they did when they were alive.  They don't realize the living cannot perceive them.
• If they continue to stay close to the physical plane their vibrations stay sympathetic enough with the physical plane to where sometimes there may be echoes of themselves on the physical plane.
• This would explain some of the ectoplasmic appearances that have been recorded on your plane - what you call "ghosts" & such phenomenon.
•  Some spirits hang on to the crutch of the familiar, a specific home or place. 
• That's why these spiritual echoes, which you call ghosts, are usually seen in such a limited area.
• Live occupants of the house/place can see the ghost, but it seems oblivious of them.
• Usually when the soul crosses over & realizes that the level of karma this time has been in the negative direction, they don't want to complete the transition because they are scared of what they will see.  Meanwhile their minds will lock onto this source of the fear, and it might be the very scene that caused their negative karma in the first place.

Messages from Spirits:

• Usually when people interact with a spirit who wants to give them a message, it is coming from their spirit guide(s).  
• If people are advanced enough to handle this aspect of their life, their spirit guide(s) will contact them in this manner to help them & give them advice in a more direct way. 
• A guide can also work with a loved one [on the other side] to help deliver a message by casting an echo of that loved one to deliver the message. 
• other events often occur beforehand to get your attention
• It is important to remember that when your loved ones pass away you are NOT parted forever.  It is just a temporary separation & you need to put that behind you & continue with your growth so you will be ready for your next life.
