 My Notes on Chapter 4: One More Book?

"Hear the Essence, Not just the Words"

Jon was told by Zain, who had been his personal teacher a couple of years at that point, that one day he would need to leave the monastery & was destined to do many important things.   Zain spoke to him of his past lives, why he had certain talents & how he would use his writing talents to present the teachings of the Children of the Law of One to the world, openly, publically.

From the earliest days of Human life on Earth, some of the teachings have only been communicated orally, from teacher to student (Adept Monk to Elder Monk).  As opposed to written teachings, oral teachings allowed an "enlightened' teacher to instantly know if a miscommunication, or misunderstanding was taking place during the instruction (and correct it or wait until the elder's consciousness grew more).

He was told that out of necessity, the exclusivity of certain oral traditions were being broken.  Words are but symbols, the meaning of which is subject to interpretation by each individual from their own point of view, which varies wildly.  So personal communication is difficult enough, but when words are written, there is no chance to correct misunderstandings or clarify, if they are misunderstood.

So please keep this in mind if you disagree with what you read - it may not even mean what it seems to mean.

THE WHOLE TRUTH

It is written that because of the duality of the plane we exist in here on Earth, and the limitations of our ability to really understand the infinite Oneness that is the Universe, the closest we can get to ultimate truth, is still only half-truth.  For instance, it can be argued that our future is pre-destined.  It can also be argued that we can change the future.  The greatest truth is actually revealed when both half-truths are understood as a whole.  A paradox must be intuitively, or spiritually grasped & understood.

Jon read in a book that the total understanding of something is called "groking".  Many choose to believe or focus on one concept within a paradox, over the other.  Thus they lose the whole truth.

As far as totally pure ultimate truth, we can only really "get it" when we are out-of-body, in a higher spiritual consciousness that KNOWS, not just intellectually thinks it understands.

Words Can be Stepping Stones or Sinking Sand

Those who intuitively interpret the meaning behind the words, may be "kindled", and awaken to the Spirit within them when they hear the words brought forth by same.

WHAT KIND OF WORLD DO YOU WANT TO LIVE IN?

Universal Principles dictate that the kind of world you live in, and the creation of your future world is all up to you.  Every individual, will ultimately end up in the kind of world they belong in, with others like them.  So if you want to live in a world of Unselfishly Loving people who are kind, and care about each other, you simply need to be like one of those people - or change to become one.

I have seen people raised in a ghetto full of drugs, hatred, envy & crime, leave it all behind to live good & productive lives.  It wasn't because of "the breaks" they got, or the cards life dealt them.  They transcended their environment, and their environment changed - all because of how they were inside, or changed to be inside, and the actions/choices they made because of their internal disposition.

Also, when you attain Universal Consciousness, you will no longer be a prisoner to the physical plane.  You can come & go.  And when your physical life is over, you can choose to come back to help others, or ascend to a paradisiacal spiritual existence.  It's all up to you.

THE PURPOSE OF PRESENTING THE TEACHINGS

The CLO presents these teachings with the hope that they will move & inspire you to walk (or continue to walk) a path of Oneness with the Universe, a path of Unselfish Love, regardless of denomination or other beliefs.  Nothing is so important that it should make walls between us & dam the flow of Love.

An Instruction Manual for Life as Citizens of the Universe 

(that got lost in a drawer somewhere)

The teachings can be used as a kind of "manual" of our relationship with the Universal Spirit, Universal Laws & everything.  It can be something to help those who wish to get directly back in touch with God, attain peace of mind, and become truly kind, caring beings.  

Part 2 of the book provides you with amazing, yet practical uses for some of the Atlantean CLO's vibrational technology.  Atlanteans were well versed in the advanced use of color & sound for healing & consciousness altering.

Why the Book?

Even though the location of the Tibetan monastery was secret, isolated & well hidden for a very long time, years ago it was attacked.  All the monks & householders who were there at that time were killed.  Monks in other places around the world were also attacked & murdered (discussed in more detail later).  This great loss to the world went unnoticed by most, yet its significance & impact will ultimately be felt in many ways, and has already begun over the years.

This attack was prophesied & Jon was told that after it happened, he will know it is time to begin his writing, to make the teachings public.  There will be a new order of darkness, and a new order of light.  

The Golden Rule is the most important spiritual teaching in the world.  It is Universal, every good person on Earth agrees with it, and can find common ground in it.

After facing the issue of rebuilding, he decided Tibet was not the place.  A new era was at hand, the signs were everywhere.  The order had a new destiny.  It became clear to him that a great change is upon the people of this world, and some of the traditional ways of the CLO are past & over.  However, new ones must rise from the ashes of the old, and the most important teachings & traditions are kept alive.  You can destroy countries, cities, homes, families, bodies, minds, even entire worlds - but the soul and Love always survive & go on.

CHAPTER 3: SOURCES & DESCENDANTS OF THE TEACHINGS
Including definitions of God, Basics and Prerequisites

THE TEACHINGS - 
To you they may be
Lost, found, or misplaced.
Earth-shaking, new, or fancy.
Basic, old, and simple.
It matters  not.
They ARE Timeless, Useful and Invaluable

The unadulterated teachings of the CLO have never been made public, but some are the source of many other teachings that have been made public.  

The CLO calls someone "enlightened" who: 
1) Has had a final "death experience" (of the selfish separate self), thus bursting the illusion of separation from everything/God; 
2) Has realized & permanently returned to a state of absolute Oneness with the Universal Spirit/God; 
3) Always lives in a state of Unselfish Love.

DESCENDANTS

Buddhism is a beloved relative of the CLO.  Many others are related to the CLO: Christian, Jewish, Islamic, and other religions.  CLO is the source, the roots of the many branches of the tree.  

Some of the knowledge is about our existence BEFORE our time on Earth. The monasteries, though few in number, were the oldest in many regions of the world, including Tibet.  Various teachers of the  CLO, who often remained anonymous & never spoke of the secret source of their true lineage or home, became known as "Buddhas".  There were many Buddhas, Zoroasters & St. Germains.  Zen is often considered an offshoot of Buddhism, and also a "short-cut" to enlightenment.  The roots of Zen were from one of the CLO's initiates by the name of Zend.  All of these enlightened teachers are examples of love & compassion to the world.  Legends were born from the few who had seen the monasteries.  Nature, secrecy, and other methods protected their Tibetan monastery for as long as was necessary in the great scheme of things.

AN INFINITE LINEAGE

The CLO record a history that stretches all the way from the creation of life in the Universe, to the present.  The Earthly lineage actually begins with the time of Atlantis.  The CLO was a "spiritual order" of those in Atlantis who lived a spiritual Life - those who were compassionate, kind, harmless, and wanted to maintain Oneness with God.  When Atlantis was on the verge of final destruction from the great upheavals, branches of the CLO, having read the "signs", went to various places on Earth.  The main group went with the Grand Master Thoth, to Egypt, to continue the "great work" (which will be explained later).  After many years in Egypt, that branch went to Tibet.

All through "commonly known" human history, the CLO continued to maintain their center in Tibet.  But some of its teachers made the great sacrifice of leaving the monastery, to help people in the outside worlds.  They humbly & lovingly traveled throughout the world bringing light into the darkness of the ages.

REDEFIINING "GOD" & "LOVE"

Jon Peniel's elder monk, "Raga", taught on the various types of emotions that people often lump together, and call "love".  Love can mean sex (We made love).  Love can mean you really like something (I love my new car).  Love can mean the pleasure/thrill you get from someone you have a romantic relationship with (I love so-and-so).  Or love can mean compassion, kindness, caring, giving, sharing - that's the kind of love that brings true happiness, inner peace.  Thus it is called 'Unselfish Love', because that is what it is.

God is really impossible to explain, or truly understand intellectually.  People have often 'person'-alized, or human-ized the concept of God.  Partly it is due to how hard it is to grasp such an infinite & abstract concept as God.  

Sometimes this human-like idea of God was deliberately fostered as: 
1) A means to gain wealth & power over the masses; 
2) A means to justify cruel or horrible things some men wanted to do (like war); 
3) A means of propagating sexism; 
4) All of the above.

GOOD GOD

The CLO teach that God is ALL, and includes ALL.  They also sometimes teach that it is only their religion that has the One God, rather than that God IS the One, the Oneness of All.  Thus, the consciousness of God IS the consciousness of the Universe.  Once, all humans had the consciousness of their Oneness with the Universal Spirit, and that is why you are here - to regain that Universal Consciousness, and Oneness with God.  Then you will be the lamps to help others regain their lost way also.  The CLO teach that THE UNIVERSAL SPIRIT is the "beingness", energy, essence, and life force that is everywhere & everything in the Universe, including us, including nature - and including the universe itself.  And it has a consciousness

Also included as part of the One Universal Spirit, is a "hierarchy" of spiritual beings who exist on many different levels.  You might think of them as angels, guardian angels, ascended masters, adepts or saints who have "passed on", and so forth.  Hierarchical beings thus act in harmony with the Will of the Universal Spirit, as if they were "arms" or extensions of it.

The ancient biblical texts in the library, sometimes refer to God as "Elohim". Elohim is plural, and both masculine & feminine.  This insinuates that God is neither an individual, nor a "He".  The Elohim concept of God, is similar to what the Atlantean Children of the Law of One teach about the Universal Spirit.

THE SOURCE & PURPOSE OF THE TEACHINGS

The ancient teachings of the CLO are thus "non-denominational", and/or "omni-denominational".  They are not from, or by, any religion - and they are not "religious" teachings.  Yet they do teach about the Universal Spirit, our relationship to it, and our place in the Universe.  These UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES are also aspects of the Universal Spirit.  They are all things we once knew, and were aware of - because WE also, were once higher consciousness beings.  But now the spiritual nature within most people is so suppressed, that their awareness of these things is "blocked" to one degree or another.  Universal Principles within the teachings may "resonate" and stir "lost" buried feelings & memories from your suppressed spiritual nature.  They are often first perceived as a sort of vague "knowingness" or "awareness" within you.  Even though blocked, your Inner Voice will still react when exposed to the right catalyst - such as being presented with the spiritual truths of the universe.  

Having UNIVERSAL CONSCIOUSNESS means many things other than beingly consciously One with, and aware of, all things in the Universe, including the Universal Spirit.  You can understand it, recognize it, and appreciate how valuable & important it is - by observing its effects.  Having an awakening of consciousness like we've just talked about, RESULTS in TRULY  becoming more "spiritual".

Jon's spiritual teacher (Zain) said, "As you begin to expand your consciousness beyond your self, you start realizing (not just believing or "having faith") that there is more to life & the Universe than meets the eye.  Creation isn't just haphazard.  There is One Great Something behind it all...you start understanding the underlying connection of everything more & more, until you eventually have the realization that others are actually part of you, and yiou are part of them, and you are ALL one...you also feel, and manifest, UNSELFISH LOVE, and the 'real world' spiritual virtues that are reflections of Unselfish Loving = CARING, KINDNESS, COMPASSION, GIVING, & HARMLESSNESS.  THESE are the things that ARE truly important, and the earmarks of TRUE SPIRITUALITY."

Like multiple ripples in a pond that go on & on from throwing just one rock, your Unselfish Love can make you a part of, and a vehicle for, the Universal Spirit, as it moves through you, us, & thus throughout the world.

SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE VERSUS GOODNESS

Ancient Technique:  Think about a person's qualities & traits, and then imagine what the world would be like if it were entirely populated by, and run by, billions of duplicates of that one person.  The overall feeling & image you get of an imaginary world populated by any given individual, will give you invaluable insight about them.

Knowledge vs. Goodness contemplation: 
1) Think of a world populated by the most spiritually knowledgeable person you know (but someone still selfish). 
2) Think of a world populated with the best person (little knowledge, but a "good heart").  

Isn't it obvious that the virtues of kindness & giving, are far better than any spiritual knowledge?  And just imagine a world populated by Unselfishly Loving "enlightened" beings - it would be paradise, Heaven on Earth.

SPIRITUALITY REQUIRES MORE THAN SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE

There are a lot of people out there who have  a great deal of spiritual knowledge, yet they just aren't "spiritual".

ANALOGY: "Water" represents Universal Consciousness, Unselfish Love, and true spirituality.  Just having the knowledge of the water is not sufficient.  They must "drink" it somehow, become one with it, and simultaneously share it by giving it all away for others.  Just sharing the knowledge of water to those in the middle of the Sahara who need a drink, does no one any good unless you actually have the water to share also.

Even the greatest information is meaningless, unless it has gone from knowledge to positive realization - to being acted upon inside you, and outside you, in a way that makes for a real & beneficial change in your life & the lives of others.

"KNOW IT ALLS" AND SPIRITUAL EGO - WHO ME?

"If you aren't aware of your own egotism...then all that can mean is that at least to some extent, you are a 'know it all'.  True?"

"If you truly were an enlightened being then you would then truly "know it all", at least spiritually speaking.  You would have Universal Consciousness.  You would not be struggling with your self, or being self-centered or selfish anymore.  You would only Unselfishly Love."

A NOTE FOR OUR READERS:

There are 2 kinds of people reading this book: 
1) Reading just cause it's unusual, but perhaps somewhat interesting; 
2) Reader who is more "into" spiritual knowledge, studies, practices, abilities, etc.  The remainder of this chapter is for reader #2, a spiritual "seeker".

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.
A MESSAGE FOR THE SPIRITUAL SEEKER OR SEEKER OF SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE

Those who have attained enlightenment, Universal Consciousness, or whatever you want to call it, generally no longer read books about spiritual teachings or philosophy, because they are of no use to them - they don't need them anymore.  So if you are reading this, and that "big" switch isn't turned on yet, for your own good, please put aside whatever you already know, just for a while at least.  Even more importantly, please put aside any ego that could "get in your own way". But in any case, if you are still reading this book - you are probably still looking for something.  Humility never killed anyone, but cockiness has.  Humility will get you to peace of mind and "enlightenment" faster than anything else.  A "spiritual ego" will prevent it.

There are all kinds of excuses to avoid real change.  The BOTTOM LINE is this - Whatever reason is holding you back from what you need to do to achieve "enlightenment" and Oneness with God - is not a good enough reason.  And the knowledge of how to do it is not good enough.  Knowledge can only point the way, you are the one who must actually take the journey.

The Fool Takes his First Steps:

As wild as this may sound to some people, there really are "forces" of what you might call "light and darkness" (or good & evil) that work behind the scenes of this limited physical world we seem to live in.

Jon's 1st "test" & struggle was to be with the major resistance he encountered from family & friends.  His mother initially attempted to keep him from going by using her "parental authority", then by saying she was sick & needed him to stay.  

His so-called friends, who turned out to be "fair weather friends" as most turn out to be when the "chips are down", tried to talk him out of leaving to go to the CLO Monastery (except 1).  His only friend to show any support (John) even considered going with him.  But when his friend called his girlfriend to tell her about his decision, she said she was pregnant (turns out she had deliberately stopped using birth control).  So his friend stayed & did the honorable thing by marrying her.

Author's Note:  Everyone who starts on a true spiritual path encounters multiple obstacles & attempts to "derail" them.  It just happens in different ways for each individual.

Home at Last:

To make a very long story very short, he headed to Tibet using any means that would get him there, from hitch-hiking, to freighters, to camels.  When he got to the outskirts of Tibet, guides associated with his order, suck him across the border & led him to the monastery.  Communist China had already invaded, and troops had to be avoided at all costs.

The monastery was in an isolated area of the Himalayas that was considered "forbidden", even to Tibetans.  He was shocked to find that he was entering a warmer, wetter area.  All of a sudden there it was - the place his heart & soul had dreamed of.  It was beautiful & strikingly unique.  The pyramids, domes, and cubic structures created such artistic & other-worldly symmetry.  He had never seen anything like it.  Seeing it from a distance, he was stunned, thrilled, scared, awe-inspired - hundreds of feelings rushed through him like the waters of the powerful falls nearby.

 He was greeted by a bright, friendly female monk.  She was his liaison, and initially, a kind of "orientation tour guide".  He had trouble understanding her name, so she said he could call her by her old name, Anastasia, her parents were from Russia.  She said they were expecting him & showed him around & answered his questions.

It became obvious to him that they knew the timing & path of his journey.  He didn't understand exactly how they knew it all, but he figured he would find out later.

Most of those who were raised there were multi-lingual, but those who were not at least learned English or Spanish, in addition to their native tongue.  Some were fluent in languages spoken in most parts of the worlds, and some in ancient languages as well.  Anastasia spoke "only" 7 modern languages.

He was told there were many Adepts who could help him grow there.  Of course, everyone can teach him something - even life itself is a teacher.  She pointed to the man teaching a group of monks & told Jon he was her "special personal true teacher" & was "like a father" to here.  Her parents were dead.  He helped her change & grow.

Adepts, or initiate monks, like the man teaching, were also called true teachers.  That is because they have transcended their own selfishness & self-centeredness, and achieved what they called Universal Consciousness (A.K.A. Satori, Nirvana, Illumination, Enlightenment or Initiation).  It is a transformation that creates a total change in their viewpoint & way of life.

3 Kinds of Monks in CLO: Novices, Elders, and Adepts (novices & elders are essentially students)

When the group went outside to do an exercise, he saw her true teacher clearly.  It was the  man he saw on TV!  He would soon be the most important person in Jon Peniel's life.  He later found out the man's name was Zain.  

He was then shown to the living quarters, an odd honeycomb of private rooms, very cozy & comfy but tiny.  They called them "wombs" instead of rooms.  Novices did not get them right away.  He would be put through tests & changes that created personal growth first (such as sleeping under the stars, out in the open with only a limited number of rugs for novices).

Next he was shown the library - a vast, large building full of texts, scrolls & tablets of every description.  He could spend lifetimes there.  They had nearly every original text from most religious teachings, including biblical, in their original handwriting.

Then he was taken to a small meditation room where novice monks were taught by elder monks.  He would be taught meditation techniques, basic spiritual principles & their application, history, and some limited "personal growth" sessions for the first few months.  The door/entrance to the room was quite short, requiring those who entered to bow, it was meant to symbolically remind both elders & novices to be humble, and have respect & compassion for all.

He learned that the CLO wasn't a rigid order, and in fact, believed in moderation in all things as a cornerstone of the order.  Some basic rules: be kind, don't hurt anyone, celibacy is not required.

At first he thought Anastasia might have been into him, but turns out she was just a kind & loving to everyone, and already had someone.  

Jon's helpful advice:  If you ever meet such a special, truly spiritual person, don't make the same mistake he made.  Just because someone is warm, kind, and caring towards you, does NOT mean they want to be with you/romance/sex...Just take the love you get - it's wonderful to even receive such Love - and don't try to possess it for yourself alone, or make that person the center of your life.  That's a role only God can fulfill.

Bringing Jon's Story Up to Date, in Summary:

As the days went by, he slowly adjusted to his new surroundings, and began to absorb what he could.  A few years later, he finally "graduated".  As prophesied by his order centuries ago, he wrote this book to present the essential ancient teachings to the public, in an unadulterated, clear, easily understandable fashion.

Notes on

The Children of The Law of One

& the Lost Teachings of ATLANTIS

Chapter 2, Part 1

This book is an account of Jon Peniel's personal journey of discovery, and more importantly, what it led him to, and can lead you to also.

Some of his experiences were so incredible that they were still almost hard for him to accept.  However, those who really want the truth, and are ready for it, will recognize it.  An intuition that's unfettered by ego & selfishness will always sense truth & reality.

This book is really about identifying the real "disease" behind our personal & world problems, and the cure for it all - Unselfish Love.  The CLO is not interested in convincing anyone of anything.  Every individual needs to have his/her own realizations.

FOUNDATIONS & UNDERSTANDING:

Sometimes you need to understand fundamental concepts first, before another class will really make as much sense as possible, or allow you to get the most out of it.

FIRST STEPS - A STRANGE CHILD IN A STRANGE LAND:

His final "voyage" began decades ago, when he was 17.  Like the Dalai Lama, he was destined to return to his previous position with his spiritual order.  Unlike the Dalai Lama, he was not told of it in early childhood, nor was he aware of it.  He guesses you could say angels & saints were secretly guiding his young life.

He was a very strange & sensitive child (considered "over-sensitive"), with unusual abilities.  This was just the "norm" for him.  Many gentle & kind souls have experienced the same things as he did during childhood.  He was abnormally bright, reading at age 3, self-learning to play music by 5.  His childhood was very painful & lonely (sound familiar?).  

As he approached his teen years, he was further alienated when he was "let down" by his religion.  He would have eventually had the same crisis of faith with many other religions.  The dogma & behavior of the leaders & practitioners of his religion, were "shooting down" his faith.  Certain personal experiences, and "holes" in the teachings & practices, ultimately let him down, and left him feeling "empty" and even more alone.  The worst part was he didn't just lose faith in his religion, but in the existence of God.  By age 13, he was an atheist.

TRYING TO CONNECT PIECES OF AN ANCIENT PUZZLE:

Looking out at the stars, and observing the wonders of nature & life, he felt there MUST be something.  So by the time he was 14, he became an agnostic.

The tunnel-vision theories of creation offered by most evolutionary "scientists" also left far too many unanswered questions, and were full of "holes".  He had to find SOME kind of answers that made SENSE to him.  His thirst was insatiable.  He found "bits & pieces" of truth here & there, but something was always wrong with the entirety of the religion or philosophy.

At age 10, he tested very high for his I.Q., yet at age 16, he had flunked out of high school.  So he moved out of his parent's house, started college, got a job, and his own apartment.  

He realized the world was basically populated by 2 kinds of people, the users & the used.  Thus the majority of people were usually always getting stepped on.  The results were starvation, suffering, and servitude for most, while a few elite individuals had tremendous power & lived in incredible opulence & luxury.  There were no good political solutions - because the problems were in basic human nature.  The answer could only come from a change that took place inside every person on Earth.  And he knew the chances for that were absurd.  Eventually he began to entertain thoughts of suicide.

NEW HOPE ARISES FROM AN ODD PLACE:

One day someone recommended he read Robert Heinlein's book "Stranger in a Strange Land".  Obviously, he could relate to the title alone.  To him, what was represented in that science-fiction book seemed more like real spirituality, or how truly spiritual people would live, than most so-called spiritual or religious books he had read.  It gave him hope, and spurred him on to continue his spiritual search even harder.  His frustration with being unable to find anything to fit his ideal eventually turned to deep despair.

He grew increasingly despondent, and by 17, he finally gave up on finding anything or anyone who really had all the pieces of this grand puzzle.  But right before he was about to end his life, he had a very odd experience.  He was about to find out that there was a "third way" to live in this dog-eat-dog world.

IT MUST BE THE AGE OF TV:

What happened next was VERY BIZARRE.  You might call it a "synchronicity" (which is like a "coincidence" but it is not just "chance").  You could call it "Universal Flow" or a "modern miracle".

Just before he was about to take an overdose of sleeping pills, he started "channel surfing".  He did not even know why he was doing it at that time.  It was an "urge" he was following.  Anyway, to his surprise, as he turned the channel knob, he noticed a picture on the "U" channel setting.  There was never a station broadcasting on that channel before.  The odds against the entire complicated incident, were beyond any odds.

On his TV screen was a man who looked much like the stereotype image of "God".  It was sort of an interview, but a bit more like a lecture.  The subject matter was all about spirituality, God, the universe, creation, and of a history that went way beyond any Jon had ever known.  It was as if Zeus, Merlin, and Moses had merged into one being, and stepped out of history into his living room.  The man's every word struck a chord in him - they "rang" his "inner bell of truth".  Even when the man spoke of knowledge or concepts he had never heard before - he seemed to already know them somehow.

The man on the TV said he was a monk of an ancient spiritual order who's name in English was, "The Children of The Law of One".  Jon was caught between feelings of total awe, and wondering if this was really happening.  The man said their order was dedicated to serving & experiencing God directly, via the development & use of Unselfish Love.  But most importantly to him, they were devoted to LIVING a life of giving, caring, kindness, sharing, compassion, and harmlessness.  It was what he had been looking for his whole life.

The man's descriptions of their life evoked images that seemed like memories to Jon.  The man gave directions & instructions for getting to one of their monasteries - in Tibet no less!  Jon's course was set.  While only 17, he was determined to go.

Chapter 1: "THE CHILDREN OF THE LAW OF ONE"

The author & co-contributor to this book are monks/priests of an obscure spiritual order called the Children of the Law of One (CLO).  The famous psychic, Edgar Cayce, referred to this order in his readings & some of the info in this book can be confirmed in his readings.  He was known as the sleeping prophet because he could access the Akashic records or book of life while in trance.  This book substantiates, clarifies & enhances Cayce's readings, plus offers new info & ways to apply the spiritual principles spoken of in them.

• Any book or teaching should be judged on its own merit.
• Again, listen to your inner voice & intuition.

Meaning(s) of THE CHILDREN OF THE LAW OF ONE:  

• "The Children of" refers to us all being "children" in the sense of "subordinates of God" & part of God's "family".
• "One" essentially means, to us, God is the totality of everything that exists (the Universe itself even).
• "the Law of" comes from the fact that within "the One" there are Universal "Laws" that govern operation & function of everything.
• "Universe" applies to all things, vibrations, energy, physical or spiritual.

So The Children of the Law of One essentially means "those who obey Universal Law & serve the Universal Spirit"

• It is important to us to be in harmony with, one with, and a servant of, God. 

The primary key to that, is Loving Unselfishly.  This concept is commonly known as "the Golden Rule" & was the only commandment given by Jesus (and the way he said people would identify his followers). 

• Anywhere & anyway the CLO can promote spirituality through Unselfish Love & a return to One-ness, we do.

Sometimes the name of the order, or its branches, is stolen & used by others with a dark agenda.

• I'm sure many of you can see how Jesus & God's names have been abused to mislead people
• Let the Universal Spirit & inner voice be your guide lest you fall into the beautiful traps of darkness.

The CLO has always been vigorous proponents of truth, freedom, justice, and compassion.  Our teachings & ways have been carefully preserved & passed down directly from teacher to student.  This has continued as an unbroken chain, using all means, including reincarnation.  

• The practice of reincarnation is not exclusive to Buddhism & the Dalai Lama.  Enlightened teachers of our order also continue to reincarnate.

Some of our order have been called "ascended" masters (saints who have passed on).

• Those who choose to come back to Earth, rather than ascend, pay the greatest price.  Their reincarnation is a painful sacrifice that they make for all of us - including you.

In order to serve those who need our help, they have always done their best to have approximately 1,000 initiate monks on the Earth at any given time.  Although by the time this book was published (1997) there were only a few hundred left.

They have been known as saints, sages, founders of religions, scientists, inventors, teachers, artists, writers, musicians, philosophers, magi, & even some of the "founding fathers" of the United States.

• They have a common "earmark" - they always promote & exemplify Unselfish Love, Oneness & Freedom.

"Leadership" within the CLO is based on, and determined by, an individual's consciousness or "level of spiritual development".  Thus the "most humble" & "most self-sacrificing" are the "highest ranking" & powerful leaders.

• These beings have always had the most positive influence on the world, throughout history.

JESUS is an excellent example.  He was our Grand Master, the foremost leader of the CLO throughout the ages.  His example of strength through self-discipline, caring & Unselfish Love, spread a message throughout the world.  A message he knew would only get told throughout the world if he made the ultimate self-sacrifice.

Like the Grand Master (Jesus), all but one of the "old ones" (the earliest ancient leaders of the CLO), have passed beyond the physical plane, and chosen to be no longer incarnate with us here on Earth.

As the current period of this cycle of Earth draws to a close, he is making the ancient teachings available to the public for the first time to provide a "candle in the window" of guidance & hope.

FOREWARD:

The sole purpose of this book is to convey something far more important - ancient spiritual teachings that can change your life, and indirectly, improve the world.  Although ancient history concepts are discussed, the teachings provide the means for achieving that direct experience & direct "knowing" yourself.

• Through these ancient teachings, you too can discover a return path to the Universal Spirit/God, and inner peace.

Within all of us is a "lie detector", a silent "inner voice", that offers us the greatest potential to discern truth & reality.  This could also be termed as a "gut feeling" or "intuition".  This inner voice is a part of God that exists within you that knows what is true or not - a "knowingness" deep inside.

• The only reason behind people not hearing their inner voice are fear, desires, and selfishness.

Humor is a very "esoteric" thing in a way.  Ancient teachings refer to humor as "the great neutralizer".  Humans NEED to laugh!  Laughing can neutralize or minimize the devastating effects of pain & suffering (both our own & that of others).  TRULY spiritual people have a great sense of humor.

INTRODUCTION -

Survivors of Atlantis:

Cultures the world over, who don't have a specific legend of Atlantis, still have stories of a great flood that destroyed most life, (which happen to be very similar to the sinking, and flooding of Atlantis).  They often tell a tale of refugees who managed to escape the great disaster.

• Hopi tribe legend describes their ancestors escaping calamity & coming to their new land on "Giant flying tortoise shells" & once they arrived they were led to safety from an environment gone mad, by a bird headed "Kachina" who guided them to underground passages.
• Some theories say the mythological inhabitants of Mount Olympus, the gods of Greek & Roman mythology, were actually Atlanteans that survived.

Consider this - What if groups of Atlanteans not only survived, but established communities in various places.

That is where this book comes in.  It was written by a priest who's order traces their lineage from Atlantis, to Egypt in the days of the construction of the Sphinx & the Great Pyramid.  It covers some little known "ancient history", but only as necessary background.  The book focuses on the philosophy & spiritual practices that originated there.  The teachings of their spiritual traditions are still invaluable in the present.

Chapter 16: THE RETURN TRIP

Before beginning the return trip into the physical life the spirit not only goes through the planning sessions with the masters & teachers & consults with the other people they will be trying to work out karma with, but they also check out the family they are considering being born into.  The following are a few examples of a spirit checking things out before being born into a family again:

• The subject is watching the family she will be born into.  She is studying & learning about them so she will know how to deal with them.  She was about to be born into a peasant life in China.
• She has known these people before & feels they will help her accomplish much.
• Before being born, she goes back & forth to the masters for teachings.
• Sometimes spirit enters the body before birth, sometimes at birth, sometimes a little after.  It depends upon the lesson that must be learned.
• She says she will enter before birth.
• In most cases there is always a choice for the first short while about whether or not one must stay, or whether one decides that, for some reason it is not right & decides to leave {which often results in a walk-in/soul exchange & rarely crib death].
• If this happens it may be because they decided the parents were not ready for them, or not ready to give what would be needed, or they themselves were just not ready.
• A spirit can leave the body during infancy for short periods, usually when sleeping,  if it is gone too long it can lead to crib death, but usually the spirit stays inside the body permanently by age 1 or as late as 3-5 years of age.
• There are those who do this longer & remember the other side longer, which is often seen in their play.
• Lessons for this lifetime: She will have to learn the meaning of not wanting so much.  Learning how to deal with people on a one-to-one basis & not coveting.
•  Learning to not want for much is a little harder to learn than others [for her] because if you have nothing & see that others around you have things, you long for it.
• You must learn the difference between needing & wanting, and strike a happy medium between.
• She says when choosing a life to return to the physical plane, the time of birth must be right.

In that life, she became a very shrewd Chinese Tradesman (almost a con man with the gift for gab).  His downfall came when he coveted a black pearl & succeeded in obtaining it.  But it caused his arrest & death by flogging.

Another pre-birth example:

• She is watching the woman who is to be her mother & feels unsure because they are very demanding.  She has been watching for a few days, sometimes it takes a bit longer before making the final decision.
• There is a need for her in this situation.  She can learn much:
• Humility, dealing with relationships with people on a day-to-day level, learning tolerance of others, giving more freely of oneself, & having good bonds with others instead of being too self-sufficient.
• She must work through issues with the soul that is to be her mother; learning to love in spite of faults.
• There will be someone who will look to her for guidance.  There was a failure in the past & there is a need to repay this.
• She will be a male priest.  It is needful for her to follow that path in order to repay karmic debts.
• Free will is still involved.
• If something is shown to be needful, it will occur.
• You must not hope, you must believe.  Hope has no power or strength, but believing does.  With belief we can work toward our ultimate destiny.

He became a priest, but it was not his own choosing.  It was common in this time period & place for younger sons to be sent away to monasteries, rather than having more mouths to feed.  The superiors were often bitter & wielded power over the monks that amounted to cruelty, since they did not enter religion with a desire to help humankind.  He lived a destitute, lonely & unhappy life until he escaped by having an early heart attack.

Dolores Cannon regressed many subjects through the birth experience.  She had some sad regressions where the mother did not want the baby & the spirit was very much aware of this.  But they felt there was no backing out & maybe they would  be able to rectify the situation once they were born.  It is very strange watching subjects go through the birth process.  They do not see anything until they come into the light, cold & confused.  They are aware of everyone's thoughts & they don't like being separated from the mother.  Their first cries are in frustration of being unable to communicate.  Then softly a wave of forgetfulness seems to sweep over them as their responses dull & the memories of the other planes & existences begin to fade away.

Many have wondered about the "population question".  Although there seems to be more people living on Earth than ever before, it just keeps increasing.  The people who ask these questions are obviously hampered by a narrow outlook.  They think the souls that have been incarnating since historical times are all the souls there are.

• Where are all these souls coming from?  We would ask that you understand that there are many more souls than there are vessels available.  There are far more souls available to incarnate into bodies, than bodies to incarnate into.  And so there is the waiting process for the correct vehicle to come along.
• If everyone were to incarnate, there would be no one left in the spirit world to tend to the store, so to say.  There must always be those on this side to assist & guide & direct.  For there is much work to be done.
• There has never been a total influx of all the souls on this planet.  If that were to happen, you would surely be standing several feet deep in people, shoulder to shoulder over the entire Earth.
• So we merely say that the souls are being incarnated now at a rate which is compatible with the amount of vehicles available.

Unconditional Love:

• In order to experience this concept one would necessarily be required to experience a lack of this same energy we call unconditional love.  This is a lesson this planet as a whole is now learning.
• The confusion & disharmony pre-sent on the planet has clouded & distorted this love to such a degree as to make it almost unrecognizable.
• This transition from on of conditional to unconditional love is now in its later stages.
• It can be described; however it cannot be defined.
• Example: The most accurate portrayal of this on your planet would be that of a mother's love for her child.  This love is given unconditionally regardless of the circumstances of the transgressions.
• Jesus was trying to teach unconditional love & his incarnation was the personification of unconditional love.
• Many are now attuning to this fact & becoming aware of the subtleties in the Christ's teachings.
• There are many more lessons on a subtler plane than could ever be hoped for in the literal.
• Another Lesson:  We would say that tolerance & patience are like twins, in that each is a compliment to the other.  For without one there could not be the other.
• Ultimate Goal:  on the physical plane, is to know yourself.
• You shall be offered many lessons which will challenge you to know yourself.
• Oftentimes these will be painful.
• In times of distress & urgency, we would ask that you always remember that your experiences are given to you by yourself.
• We can see all the options spread out before you.  But it is you, yourself, who must make the final decisions.
• Also, remember that you influence individuals continuously.
• It is one thing to dominate, but yet something all-together different to influence.
• Were all to remain as it should be, nothing would ever change.
• Earth is a testing ground, a battleground, a play-ground, and many more concepts.
• That which you perceive as upheaval is in fact merely the physical manifestation of the reshuffling of priorities.
• Follow your own intuitive guidance while on Earth.
• No real truth, for all is relative.
• That which is necessary is that which will manifest.
• The most important period to work on is the present.
• The souls who decide to go down & have another cycle of life in your time are either foolhardy or brave, depending on their viewpoint.
• Most of these are the ones that are rather dull & plodding & conventional on your world.
• Other souls who are more advanced do it with both eyes open, knowing full well it will be difficult
• Due to the resistance of the general world trend this causes them to become that much stronger, to where it is the equivalent of 2-3 lifetimes worth of growth.
• When they cross back over to this side, they are extremely advanced, and they are usually asked to stay on this side for a while to help prepare those of us who wish to go back.
• We would say that actually in very simple terms, everyone on this planet has this same journey.
• All paths will eventually converge & meet in one single place.

"It is amazing that all the info for this book was obtained from many different people who did not know each other.  They were of different backgrounds, religions, and occupations.  Yet in spite of their differences, the info they gave while in trance does not contradict but rather compliments each other...If they all see the same things, then I believe the afterlife must be a very real, identifiable place with definite rules & regulations & a hierarchy that keeps it all in order...The info I have received in my work is probably only the barest skimming of the surface.  It does give us a glimpse of what lies in that other world that we all must someday visit...It isn't always easy to accept another way of thinking that partially or completely disrupts the pattern laid down for us since childhood.  But if it contains the ring of truth, then it is worth considering & exploring...I believe all of us carry these memories & maybe they will be awakened at the the time when we most need them...Everything that happens to us is colored by our own thoughts & experiences...For in my study of death, I have found the celebration of life...Maybe the info I have found has allowed us to lift the veil a little & peer beyond...and the memories are truly wonderful, because what we see is a beautiful sight to behold.

    I am grateful that I was allowed to have these conversations with the spirits.  What they told me encourages the shedding of fears & doubts & brings the realization that what lies beyond the barrier is only joyous "homecoming"."

Chapter 15: WALK-INS

Dolores Cannon was seeing a young woman for regression with an interesting birth story.  She was born seemingly dead & the doctor set her body aside to work on her mother but her aunt continued to work on her & she finally began breathing after several minutes.  When Cannon regressed this individual, she found that not only was the soul who was preparing to enter this body at birth having second thoughts about the struggles, soul contracts & coming times to be faced (hence her late entrance after birth) but after childhood & growing into an adult, she did not have the strength she thought she had & asked for another soul to relieve her of the situation at age 21 (after 2 months of working out the exchange during sleep with another similar soul & the masters on the other side).  The soul exchange, called a walk-in, was made during sleep.  Her conscious completely unaware of such an exchange.

Cannon discovered 2 main ways that the entity is born:

1) They may enter the body while it is still in the womb & go through the actual birth if they wish to experience this.

2) They may remain outside of the baby's body but in close proximity to the mother & merely watch.  

The main requirement is that they enter the baby's body at the first breath.  Failure to do so can result in stillbirths.

So when Cannon first regressed her, instead of asking to go to the time of birth, she asked her to go to the time she first entered this physical body.  This is when she found the current spirit (in the now 22 year old) had entered as a "walk-in" nearly a year before.

So what is a walk-in?  This term originated in Ruth Montgomery's writings & has come into popular use.  It loosely means a spirit that "walks-into" a living body instead of being born as a baby.

Cannon encountered this phenomenon another time in regressive hypnosis.  That experience involved a young child who was very ill.  An exchange of souls was made when the occupying soul wanted out.

So why do a soul exchange or "walk-in"?

• It was not time for the body to die.  It must continue on.  In these cases the body is left operating so that another soul may enter. 
• A trade is made with both parties agreeing.  It is worked out on the spirit side.  We discuss this with the masters & the decisions are made.
• There was just too much karma that had been accepted that it could not be carried out.  Which is why she had 2nd thoughts at birth.
• There was enough likeness of selves that the change would not be greatly noticeable.  We also shared other lives together [soul family].
• Plus the fact that those who are walking-in have not gone through the trauma of childhood or birth & are more open to influences from spirit side.  At present & in future there is great need for this openness.  These people shall guide others into times to come.
• One of the reasons for walking-in is that there is a shortage of time & a shortage of vehicles.
• The energy brought in by walk-ins influences those around them.  Much work is being done.
• They are very psychic because the memories & abilities carried over from the other plane are highly developed & very fresh & active [unhampered by birth, childhood, traumas].
• Many times the soul exchange occurs at the point of death, but sometimes it occurs in the sleep state.
• All of the memories are absorbed by the new soul (of that life up to that point), so you become that person.
• In the agreements made [leading up to the exchange], the new soul must finish certain things that the other soul stipulated must be finished.
• Sometimes the physical entity is unaware of the exchange because it would be too traumatic to know at the time.  The remembrance is not always important.  The good done is.
• She preferred walking in to being born; not dealing with the problems of growing up.  "There is much work to be done.  'Tis much easier this way."
• When told what was said after her hypnotherapy session, she was startled & said, "No! I can't believe that!"
• Her conscious mind rebelled at the idea & she had just as much trouble absorbing something of this magnitude as Cannon did.
• She did remark on how her parents had noticed a difference in her, but assumed it was part of the maturing process.
• Cannon later received similar info about this topic from other subjects who explained:
• There are more souls waiting to incarnate than there are bodies to accommodate them.
• Sometimes a soul reaches the point where the physical weights & cares have dragged the soul to a level from which it cannot sustain itself.  So there is a mutual exchange of places; very beneficial for both.
• From the physical point of view there is no apparent change of ownership or custodianship.
• Sometimes when it is necessary or desired there will be the realization & remembrance of the actual transfer.
• Often with time there is gradual realization & possibly remembrance of the exact time of transfer.
• It is not a renege...not all goes as planned.  It is simply a situation which has an ideal solution.
• We find favor in this transfer for it is quite admirable and noble.  It is much more useful & effective than allowing the vehicle to die.
